Gabriella Simonian

I’m a British freelance recipe developer and photographer, living in sunny Brisbane Australia.

Food was quite literally my first passion in life, after falling in love with recipes between the pages of my mum’s cookbooks as a child, writing my name on the inside cover of each one. I truly believe all great moments shared should be centred around a meal, and I love nothing more than feeding people.

When it comes to photography, I like to use natural light to capture a sense of time and place, creating candid images with an observational nature.

I am a self-professed Italophile and over the years pasta has become an extension of that adoration. Having travelled extensively throughout Italy, I have enjoyed more than one plate of pasta in every destination, each as memorable and equally impressionable.

I love pasta, it’s as simple as that. Making pasta, eating pasta, researching dishes, different shapes, their etymology, learning about Italian regionalism - it’s a passion. Making fresh pasta is one of the most delicious and rewarding experiences you can have in the kitchen.

In 2020 I began sharing tutorials and recipes on my Instagram page @_noregrettispaghetti. This is my space for unadulterated, carbohydrate filled bliss.
